President Endorses Legislation to Disclose Additional Jeffrey Epstein Files After Period of Pushback

Donald Trump stated on late Wednesday that he had approved the bill overwhelmingly approved by Congress members that instructs the justice department to disclose more files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late child sexual abuser.

This action follows months of resistance from the leader and his political allies in the legislature that divided his Maga base and caused divisions with certain loyal followers.

Donald Trump had resisted releasing the Epstein files, calling the situation a "hoax" and railing against those who sought to release the records accessible, despite promising their publication on the political campaign.

Nevertheless he reversed course in the past few days after it become clear the House would endorse the measure. Donald Trump stated: "There are no secrets".

The details are unknown what the agency will release in as a result of the legislation – the measure details a host of possible documents that must be released, but includes exemptions for certain documents.

The legislation calls for the top justice official to make non-classified Epstein-connected documents publicly available "in an easily accessible digital format", covering all investigations into Epstein, his associate his accomplice, travel documentation and movement logs, individuals referenced or named in association with his offenses, institutions that were tied to his exploitation or financial networks, immunity deals and further court deals, internal communications about legal actions, documentation of his imprisonment and demise, and details about any file deletions.

The bill includes some exceptions, including deletions of victims' identifying information or personal files, any representations of youth molestation, publications that would endanger current examinations or court proceedings and descriptions of fatality or exploitation.
