On Monday, the court was told phone records and evidence retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered child disappearance cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I'm her? What happens next? Isn't that significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a life here in Poland, I only wish to know," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that through emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a bid to display a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and claimed to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with the police force who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I will persist and I will prove my claim."

The court was told message exchanges between the two defendants, in that autumn, planning endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from utensils at a eating establishment.

"We must take action," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their home, the defendant transmitted a text which expressed: "We're currently sat near the McCanns' home with our headlights off resembling private investigators. I had hoped to achieve this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
